Last day for Fasnacht celebration: Rottweil - Freiburg

給大家煮西多士做早餐，又一新奇的香港味道。他們應該沒想到方包除了配果醬或做三文治，還可變成西多士。

Making French toast for breakfast and introducing them a Hong Kong taste which impressed them again. They did not image ever that the plain bread can be friend with something not the boring jam or becoming sandwiches.

Rottweil的Fasnacht是Baden Württemberg州最傳統的，極具代表性，參加者穿著傳統服裝，
戴上代表鬼怪的臉具，拿著雨傘或黏附羽毛長棍，向觀眾派糖或用羽毛掃你的臉。服裝全人手製逢製及釘上羽毛，臉具以人手彫刻，然後以油水彩上色，每套€1000-5000不等，絕對值得。就算有錢也不等如可以當天穿著上街，因為每套服飾必需經大會評委檢閱，確認與大部份服裝相似，不會出現不合比例或五官不統一的情況。

The Fasnacht in Rottweil is the most traditional within the Federal state Baden Württemberg. It could represent Rottweil. All the participants must wear the official costume to perform in the parade. They will wear the witty mask and holding either umbrella or a feather pole, marching along the street and giving away candies to audience or touching you with the feather pole. The costume is 100% handmade and the mask is made by different handcrafters. They made it bit by bit and color it with oil-paint nicely. Every costume costs €1000-5000 and is really worth. Even you can afford it, it is not guaranteed you can take place in the parade. It is because every costume must be approved by the judge community before participants performed. The judge have to ensure all the costumes are similar and up to the standard to keep the consistency. Those with inappropriate scale or too big of the facial features will be prohibited.

我不止一次被羽毛掃臉，而且是小朋友扮的鬼，可能因我身高與他們相近，他們容易落手吧！

It is not the only time my face was touched by the feather. Kids like to do that to me. I guess it is because I am as tall as them which made them a easy target.

下一個目的地Freiburg，順便可探望他們的姨母Ulrike。給她打電話通知她我們在路上，她說仍未開始做蛋糕，Moritz便說笑稱沒有蛋糕便不前往探望！我覺得他真的很喜歡跟一眾親戚相處的時光。

We headed to Freiburg after the festival. The aunt of Moritz Ulrike is living in Freiburg which we could visit her as well. We called her on our way to give her a head up. When she said that cake was not ready, Moritz said we will not visit without a cake. I found he loves most of his relatives and really enjoy seeing them every time.

到達德國這幾天都是在小村小鎮遊覽，來到大城市感覺有所不同，人來人往，車、單車、電車都是都市特色。

Since we arrived in Germany, we spent our days in the little town and villages. It always feels different when we are in the big city. You will see people walking around. Cars, bikes and trams reflected that you are in a modern world.

天氣不穩定加上下著雨，市集的攤檔不是很多，但我們都買到一些農產品、茶葉﹑香料等，還找到黑芝麻，明天可以用來做湯丸。

The weather was not better than yesterday and we were late for the open market. However, we were still able to get some herbs & spices and tea before they close. It was lucky that we found the black sesame which we can make dumpling the next day.

寒風凜冽，決定打道回府，到Ulrike家！

Windy, Chilly, Rainy are good enough to head to Ulrike's.

蛋糕已準備好，是全素蘋果批，不太甜，結果吃了3塊。邊吃邊聊天，又差不多到晚飯時間，結果留下來吃晚餐。

Cake was ready when we arrived. It is a vegan apple pie which is my favor. Less sweet and taste good. I ate three slices. We spent a couple of hours there and it was almost dinner time. So we decided to have dinner before we leave.

正式打道回府已經是6時，冬天日照短，天已經黑齊感覺已經很晚，我就在車上進入夢鄉。

It was 6pm when we headed back. The day light is short during winter. It feels like midnight when it is dark which made me fell asleep in the car.
